DAKAR 2026 YOUTH OLYMPIC GAMES

The Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee met on 13 June 2024 and determined the sports that will be on the programme for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games. Based on IOC new approach to the sports programme of the Youth Olympic Games, it was decided to maintain the official involvement of all 35 International Federations in Dakar 2026, with 25 sports featuring on the competition programme and 10 to be part of the engagement programme. Golf is one of the 10 sports that will not be on the sport programme but part of the engagement programme. The decision taken for the Youth Olympic Games Dakar 2026 will apply for this edition only and future YOG editions will be considered separately based on host location and criteria established at that time.
