The bidding process for National Federation members wishing to host the 2029 World Amateur Team Championships is now OPEN.

10 January 2025

IGF to open the 2029 WATC bid process. All relevant documents to be available on the IGF website.

7 February 2025

Deadline for interested National Federations to submit an Expression of Interest to watc@igfmail.org A template for this submission can be found above and should contain the following:

Host city
Main airport
Host course(s)
Host hotel(s)
Proposed dates
Provisional financial model

28 February 2025

Deadline for the IGF to select and inform the National Federations that will progress to the next round of the bid process. The selected federations will be asked to submit the 2029 WATC Application Form.

28 March 2025

Deadline for the selected National Federations to submit a first draft of the 2029 WATC Application Form to the IGF at watc@igfmail.org. The IGF is to review the draft document for completeness and liaise with the applicant federation to satisfy any remaining document requirements.

25 April 2025

Deadline for the selected National Federations to submit the final 2029 WATC Application Form to watc@igfmail.org.

5 September 2025

All IGF National Federation members to receive completed bid documents in preparation for the vote which will take place during the 2025 IGF Biennial Meeting.

6 October 2025

2025 IGF Biennial Meeting, Singapore. National Federation members to vote onsite or via video call.
