Qualification System
The Olympic field is restricted to 60 players for each of the men’s and women’s individual competitions. The IGF utilises the official world golf rankings to create the Olympic Golf Rankings (OGR) as a method of determining eligibility. Athletes will first be selected by name within the highest (top)-15 on the OGR, with no more than four athletes per NOC/country. From 16th place onwards, athletes will then be selected up to a maximum of two athletes per NOC/country, including those athletes within the highest (top)-15.

Olympic Golf Ranking
The men’s and women’s Olympic Golf Rankings (OGR) are calculated every Monday following completion of the previous week’s tournaments from around the world and updated on the IGF website every Tuesday.
Reallocation Reserve Lists, based on a continuation of the respective OGRs and calculated using the exact same criteria, are also produced and updated on the IGF website every Tuesday. These lists clearly outline the next highest ranked athletes by name.
